Dr. Scott Crane

As Executive Director of the Southeast Service Center it is my responsibility to lead and manage its employees, resources, and programs. I accomplish this opportunity through collaboration and correlation with the SESC Board of Directors, my fellow Service Center Directors, the Utah State School Board, the Utah State Legislature, the Utah System of Higher Learning, the Utah Educational Technical Network, the Utah Rural Schools Association, and the Carbon, Emery, Grand, and San Juan School Districts. My experience as a school administrator (Assistant Principal, Principal, Director of Secondary Education, District Business Administrator, Assistant Superintendent, Superintendent) for the last thirty-nine years in 3 different school districts, in 2 different states has prepared me to provide excellent leadership to the school districts which I serve.

I know from experience that organizational renewal prepares students to be successful in the 21st Century as it enhances student performance and narrows the gaps in student achievement. I believe that student success is achieved by the formation of collaborative-educational environments, which support educator’s efforts to meet the academic, emotional, and social needs of their students. The goal of the Southeast Service Center is to support the districts in our service area create optimal learning environments.

Mark Twain once said, “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” We at the service center are ready to help you catch the trade winds and sail your classrooms and districts into the 21st Century. Let us know how we can help.  ‘Virtus et Honor’
